FROM SHARK TO BISON: CARRUTH SIGNS IN BASINGSTOKE

The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young forward Kyle Carruth ahead of the 2026/27 NIHL season.

The 19-year-old joins the Herd from the Solway Sharks. Carruth arrives in Basingstoke after gaining valuable experience in senior hockey while also representing Great Britain at U20 level.

Born in Dumfries, Carruth has progressed through the Solway system and quickly built a reputation as a hard-working forward with strong offensive instincts. Carruth featured prominently for the Sharks last season, scoring 20 points in 45 games.

Carruth also earned international recognition with Great Britain U20s team, helping Great Britain secure a silver medal on the international stage and further underlining his potential as one of the country’s top young prospects.

Speaking on signing with the Bison, Carruth said:

“I’m really excited for this next chapter in my career and can’t wait to get started with Basingstoke. It’s a great opportunity for me to continue developing, and I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, staff and teammates.”

Everyone at the Basingstoke Bison would like to welcome Kyle to the Herd as he becomes our new #88.
