The Basingstoke Bison are excited to announce that Blocks G, H and I will become dedicated standing areas, creating more choice, and standing opportunities for fans on a game night.
In a big move for UK ice hockey, the Bison will become the first team in the country to introduce a purpose-built tiered standing block with no seats, underlining the club’s commitment to improving the fan experience.
Basingstoke Bison have been working with Planet Ice on this change which is all about giving supporters greater flexibility in how they experience Bison hockey. Standing areas have long been a favourite for fans to and be right in the heart of the action and now there’s more space than ever to do so.
By introducing additional standing blocks, the club is opening the door for:
- More areas for fans who prefer to stand, or watch from a different viewpoint
- A livelier atmosphere, with standing supporters helping to drive noise, energy, and momentum inside the rink
- More affordable tickets available, making it easier for families, students, and regular fans to attend more games throughout the season
Blocks G, H and I will offer a fresh way to experience Bison hockey and you won’t have long to wait to experience the new standing areas in action, with two big home games coming up this weekend at Planet Ice. The Bison take on Hull Seahawks at home this Friday before returning on Saturday night to face the Bristol Pitbulls. Book now.
