SAMPFORD IS BACK


The Basingstoke Bison are delighted to confirm that local forward #29 Alex Sampford has re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 season.


A product of the Basingstoke junior system, Sampford has been a familiar face in Bison colours for over a decade, bringing experience and Bison pride to the lineup every time he steps onto the ice.


Head Coach Tony Redmond said:


“I’m delighted to welcome Alex back to the Bison. A true local talent, he knows exactly what it means to pull on this jersey and represent the town, and that pride comes through in the energy and commitment he brings every time he steps on the ice.


Alex has a real eye for goal and brings a strong attacking threat to our line-up. I’m looking forward to seeing him make a positive impact and have a big season back in Bison colours.”


On returning to the Herd, Sampford said:
