The Basingstoke Bison can confirm that Head Coach Jeff Flanagan will be leaving the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
On departing the club, Jeff said, “After a great deal of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my role as Head Coach of the Basingstoke Bison in order to be closer to my family.
To the fans and the Supporters Club, your passion and loyalty are the heartbeat of the Bison. The atmosphere you create in the rink every game makes Basingstoke a special place to compete.
I am proud to have been a small part of the Bison’s return, and I leave with nothing but gratitude and respect for the club and everyone connected to it. I’ll always be thankful to be part of the Bison family.”
Everyone at the club would like to place on record their thanks to Jeff for his hard work, professionalism, and commitment during his time with the Bison and wish Jeff all the very best for the future.
The club will now begin the process of recruiting a new Head Coach for the 2026/27 season and an announcement confirming the appointment of our new Head Coach will be made as soon as the process is complete.
